Fancy finding a free studio space overseas?
How about a tailor made international residency?
Artquest’s newest web project, Artelier, could be for you. Artelier is the antidote to online social networking. Yes, you can create a profile – but only in order to advertise your studio to other artists nationally and internationally. Yes you can message other artists you meet on the site – but all the better to find out if you want to take over their studio and apartment temporarily, giving you free access to their space while they have free access to yours.
Not interested in making a studio exchange? Artelier is also a great social and professional networking tool, introducing you to local, national and international artists for collaboration, exhibitions, news… How you use it is up to you. Artelier is safe because you can only get on it if you’re invited – meaning someone will know who you’re exchanging with, and you have the peace of mind to know you’re dealing exclusively with professional visual artists. Use Artelier to: · Meet artists online and arrange temporary national and international studio and apartment exchanges – in effect, organise your own international studio residency · Find out about a wide range of international arts organisations – galleries, residency programmes, artist networks and advice providers · Communicate with other artists from around the world · Learn more about the art scenes in different countries · Visit other countries and produce work for the price of an airline ticket · Find artists who live locally to you
And like all of Artquest’s projects – ACCESS TO ARTELIER IS FREE FOR EVERYONE . To request an invitation: Send an email to
artelier@arts.ac.uk with your CV or the website address of your portfolio site Artquest staff will invite you on in the next five days, and you can start to invite on your friends, and their friends, and their friends…
