We seek 35 very wearable pieces of jewelry, all made with leather, fur or exotic skins as the primary material, and all featuring a sophisticated and modern aesthetic to include in a project book aimed at beginner to intermediate skill levels.
The book will include jewelry for both men and women and will cover the whole gamut: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, cuffs, upper-arm bands, rings and brooches, and possibly barrettes, headbands or hair accessories-all of them refined and fashionable. Color and texture should take the spotlight (either in the original leather or in your construction technique). We want to include a whole range of skins: alligator, pony, kid, ostrich, shark, stingray, python, patent leather, and more. We’d like to include fur recycled from old garments, calfskin printed to look like other furs, etc.
