City of Ptuj and Cultural and Arts Society Art Stays, invite you to join the international painting ex-tempore, that is organized in the time of traditional carnival eventKurentovanje in the oldest Slovenian town..It is a mayor Art event in the time of Kurentovanje and has gathered over 600 artists, coming from Slovenia, Croatia, Austria and Italy through the last 7 years. Stamping of canvases lasts 9 days in Slovenia and in partner galleries abroad.Application and stamping of canvases can be done in Slovenia and in partner galleries in Italy, Austria and Croatia from 27th January until 4th February 2016. The themes are again the carnival, spring, kurent and masks, celebrating 777 years of Ptuj’s Wine Cellar also wine, but there is also free theme.
International Expert Jury will award Grand Prix prize of the City of Ptuj, major and small purchase prize of City of Ptuj, other purchase prizes, awards of galleries: Gallery FO.VIand Gallery 3D, weekend packages in the most beautiful hotels in Ptuj and honorable mentions with practical prizes. The opening of the exhibitions will be on Friday, 5th February 2016, at 2 pm in front of the City Hall in Ptuj.The Mayor of Ptuj and the president of the Expert Jury will present the winners. Opening ceremony will be followed by visiting the exhibition of the finalists in the Gallery Magistrat and all other participants in the Dominican Monastery where wine and „krof“ will be served.
