Galerija Spot i Ured za fotografiju pozivaju na otvorenje izložbe u sklopu programske linije Young SPOTs posvećene mladim autorima i autoricama. Otvorenje izložbe Nacrt za narativ studentica Umjetničke akademije u Splitu – Marije Bare, Jelene Jurčević, Hane Kalebić, Matee Križanović i Đine Radulj – održat će se u petak, 16. 5. 2025., s početkom u 19:00 sati. Prilikom otvorenja zakazano je vodstvo i razgovor s autoricama. Izložba ostaje otvorena do utorka, 27. 5. 2025.
Dovoljni su papir, kemikalije i sunčeva svjetlost da bi nastao monokromatski, prepoznatljivo plavi otisak fotografskim procesom cijanotipije. Tehnika razvijena početkom 1842. godine, za razliku od klasične fotografije na filmu koja primjenjuje srebrne halogenide za razvoj slike, koristi manje zahtjevan postupak upotrebom željeznih soli. Zbog jednostavne izrade i trajnosti, korištena je najčešće kao metoda za umnažanje dokumenata i tehničkih nacrta (blueprint), ali može pružati puno više od svoje nekadašnje prvobitne namjene, što dokazuju radovi studentica Umjetničke akademije u Splitu, Odsjeka za likovnu kulturu i likovnu umjetnost. Autorice Marija Bare, Jelena Jurčević, Hana Kalebić, Matea Križanović i Đina Radulj predstavljaju tematski raznolike radove nastale uz pomoć voditeljice radionice Glorije Lizde te pod mentorskim okom doc. art. Lane Stojićević.
U radu Dota za dvoje Marija Bare bavi se propitivanjem tradicijske kulturne prakse miraza na nekonvencionalnoj podlozi za izradu cijanotipije – jastučnicama – koje su, kao dio posteljine, poklanjane mladencima od strane uže obitelji. Uz njih su također bili razni kukičani ili vezeni predmeti, poput svima poznatih “tabletića”, koje umjetnica utiskuje na jastučnice u svojevrsnoj rekontekstualizaciji narodnog običaja. Jelena Jurčević kroz radove naslovljene Projekcija stavlja naglasak na glasoviti urbanistički projekt Split 3, građen sedamdesetih i osamdesetih godina prošloga stoljeća. Na fotografijama koje obuhvaćaju detaljno promišljene elemente urbanog dizajna umjetnica intervenira ravnim linijama spajajući time skice arhitektonskih nacrta i postojeće segmente stvarnog života. Hana Kalebić inspiraciju za svoju seriju cijanotipija I AM HERE – YOU ARE HERE crpi iz svojih čestih putovanja na relaciji Vela Luka – Split, pridodajući monotonom putovanju uzbudljivi fiktivni narativ. Na imaginarnom trajektu Jadrolinije, putnici su postavljeni u nama nepoznatu situaciju opasnu po život, a put na sigurno omogućavaju im evakuacijske karte i druge upute za spašavanje. U svojem prikazu splitskog HNK, Matea Križanović stavlja fokus na natpise i pločice s vrata djelatnika kazališta. Osim što prusko plava boja reproducira gotovo istu nijansu pločica, vezuje se uz simboliku rada i radničkog identiteta. Đina Radulj polazi od vlastite obiteljske priče o djedu Marinu koji je odlučio samostalno prokopati kanal kako bi spasio kuću od stalnih poplava. Zbog teških fizičkih poslova, koji su zahtijevali gotovo nadljudsku snagu duha i tijela, prozvan je “Titan s otoka Mljeta”, a u očima autorice izjednačen je s mitskim likom Atlasa.

Marija Bare (Knin, 1999.) je 2023. završila preddiplomski studij Likovne kulture i likovne umjetnosti na Umjetničkoj akademiji u Splitu, trenutačno završava drugu godinu diplomskog studija na istom Odsjeku. Izlagala je na nekoliko grupnih izložbi.
Jelena Jurčević (Split, 1994.) je studentica diplomskog studija Likovne kulture i likovne umjetnosti na Umjetničkoj akademiji u Splitu. Izlagala je na nekoliko samostalnih i grupnih izložbi. U svojim radovima istražuje odnos tradicionalnosti i suvremene umjetnosti, kao i baštinu modernističke arhitekture na području Splita i okolice.
Hana Kalebić (Zagreb, 2000.) je 2023. završila preddiplomski studij Likovne kulture i likovne umjetnosti na Umjetničkoj akademiji u Splitu, trenutačno završava drugu godinu diplomskog studija na istom Odsjeku. Izlagala je na nekoliko grupnih izložbi. Kroz svoje radove istražuje temu lokalne deindustrijalizacije uz pomoć semiotike i tehničkog crteža kroz znanstveno-fantastičnu prizmu.
Matea Križanović (Sinj, 2000.) je 2023. godine završila preddiplomski studij Likovne kulture i Likovne umjetnosti na Umjetničkoj akademiji u Splitu, a trenutačno je na završnoj godini diplomskog studija istog Odsjeka. Izlagala je na nekoliko skupnih izložbi u Splitu, uključujući izložbu u sklopu UMAS festivala, izložbu Nacrt za narativ u Galeriji KVART te izložbu P-RAZNO u Prostoru. Kroz svoj rad istražuje teme osobne, obiteljske i intimne prirode, najčešće u mediju slikarstva i ručnoga veza.
Đina Radulj (Dubrovnik, 2001.) je 2023. završila preddiplomski studij Likovne kulture i likovne umjetnosti na Umjetničkoj akademiji u Splitu, trenutačno završava drugu godinu diplomskog studija na istom Odsjeku. Sudjelovala je na nekoliko grupnih izložbi: P-RAZNO, Prostor, Split; Nacrt za narativ, Galerija Kvart, Split; Kineski zid Frane Gotovca u animiranim GIF-ovima, Prostor, Split. U radovima istražuje osobno i obiteljsko nasljeđe, kao i problematiku prekomjernog turizma,i to najčešće pomoću slikarskih intervencija na fotografijama i eksperimentalnih hibridnih medija.
Izložba je realizirana u sklopu programa Young SPOTs koji je sufinanciran sredstvima Ministarstva kulture i medija Republike Hrvatske i Grada Zagreba u okviru Javnog poziva za financiranje programa koji uključuju mlade umjetnike/ice.

The opening of the exhibition Blueprint for a Narrative by the students from the Department of Visual Culture and Fine Arts of the Arts Academy in Split – Marija Bare, Jelena Jurčević, Hana Kalebić, Matea Križanović, and Đina Radulj – will be held on Friday, 16th of May at 7:00 p.m. The exhibition will remain open until Tuesday, 27th of May 2025. Paper, chemicals and sunlight are enough to create a monochromatic, distinctively blue print using the process of cyanotype photography. Unlike classic film photography, which uses silver halides to develop the image, this technique, developed in early 1842, employs a less exacting process involving iron salts. Due to the simplicity of its production process and durability, it was most often used as a method for duplicating documents and technical drawings – blueprints – but it may provide much more than its original application, as evidenced by the works of the students from the Department of Visual Culture and Fine Arts of the Arts Academy in Split. Artists Marija Bare, Jelena Jurčević, Hana Kalebić, Matea Križanović and Đina Radulj present thematically diverse works created under the guidance of workshop lead Glorija Lizde and the mentoring eye of assistant professor Lana Stojićević.In the work Dowry for Two, Marija Bare examines the traditional cultural practice of dowry using an unconventional medium for cyanotype creation – pillowcases – which were given to newlyweds by their immediate family as part of their dowry bedding. They were also accompanied by different crocheted or embroidered objects, such as the perennial doilies, which the artist imprints on the pillowcases as a mode of recontextualization of the folk custom. In her works titled Projection, Jelena Jurčević places emphasis on the famous urbanist project of Split 3, built in the 1970s and 1980s. In the photographs that include minutely considered elements of urban design, the artist intervenes with straight lines, thereby connecting sketches of architectural plans with existing segments of real life. Hana Kalebić draws inspiration for her series of cyanotypes I AM HERE – YOU ARE HERE from her frequent trips between Vela Luka on the island of Korčula and Split, layering an exciting fictional narrative onto the monotonous quotidian journey. On an imaginary Jadrolinija ferryboat, passengers are placed in a life-threatening situation unknown to us, while their path to safety is made possible by means of evacuation maps and other emergency rescue instructions. In her presentation of the Croatian National Theatre in Split, Matea Križanović focuses on the inscriptions and plaques on the doors of theatre employees. In addition to the fact that the Prussian blue reproduces almost the exact shade of blue of the plaques, it also echoes the symbolism of labour and worker identity. Đina Radulj pays homage to her own family story about her grandfather Marin, who decided to dig a canal by himself, to save his house from constant flooding. Owing to the laborious physical effort that required almost superhuman strength of mind and body, he was nicknamed the “Titan of the island of Mljet”, and in the artist’s eyes acquires the properties of the mythical Atlas. Sara Mikelić Marija Bare (Knin, 1999) completed her undergraduate studies in Visual Culture and Fine Arts at the Arts Academy in Split in 2023, and is currently completing her sophomore year of graduate studies at the same department. She has exhibited her works in several group exhibitions.Jelena Jurčević (Split, 1994) is a graduate student of Visual Culture and Fine Arts at the Arts Academy in Split. She has exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions. Her works explore the relationship between tradition and contemporary art, as well as the heritage of modernist architecture in Split and its surroundings.Hana Kalebić (Zagreb, 2000) graduated from the Arts Academy in Split in 2023 with an undergraduate degree in Visual Culture and Fine Arts, and is currently completing her second year of graduate studies at the same department. She has exhibited in several group exhibitions. Through her work, she explores the theme of deindustrialisation in the local context using semiotics and technical drawing through a science-fiction lens.Matea Križanović (Sinj, 2000) graduated from the Arts Academy in Split in 2023 with a BA in Visual Culture and Fine Arts, and is currently completing her MA at the same department. She has exhibited in several group exhibitions in Split, including the UMAS festival, the Blueprint for a Narrative exhibition at the KVART Gallery, and the P-MISCELLANEOUS exhibition at Prostor. Her work delves into themes of personal, familial, and intimate nature, most often through the medium of painting and hand embroidery.Đina Radulj (Dubrovnik, 2001) graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Culture and Fine Arts from the Arts Academy in Split, and is currently completing her graduate sophomore year at the same department. She has participated in several group exhibitions: P-MISCELLANEOUS, Prostor, Split; Blueprint for a Narrative, Kvart Gallery, Split; Frano Gotovac’ Great Wall of China in Animated GIFs, Prostor, Split.
